The idea to start Cardiff was born in the snowy peaks of Japan. We return to those peaks each year to seek inspiration, ride with friends, and test never before seen products from our private stash. Join us on an 8-day boarding and skiing road trip in the famous Hokkaido region of Japan.

Be the first to ride Cardiff’s 25/26 line-up of boards and skis. Attendees will receive an exclusive discount of 40% off any Cardiff board or skis, including the yet-to-be-released 25/26 line-up. We will also bring a few sets of 25/26 demos for attendees to use on the trip.
It is not a requirement to ride Cardiff in order to participate in the trip. You are welcome to use those dusty has-beens in your garage if you don’t want to ride the latest and greatest from Cardiff. Seriously though, we want you to come with your preferred gear set-up.

Trip Details
Who
Anyone who seeks to Stand in High Places with Cardiff. We ask that attendees board/ski at an upper intermediate to advanced skill level. The trip is all resort riding. No backcountry experience is required.
Where
We will ride for three days in the Furano region, take a one-day break to visit Sapporo, and then transfer to Niseko where we will ride for three more days. The resort we will ride each day will be selected a day prior based on conditions and the weather forecasts. The resorts we are likely to ride are: Furano, Niseko United, Rusutsu, and Kiroro.

Single Occupancy: $6500
Double Occupancy: $4500 (roommate assigned)
Secure your spot with a $1500 deposit. The remaining amount is due on October 12, 2024.

Day 1
Sunday, February 9
Arrive for pick-up at New Chiltose Airport near Sapporo. Drive to Furano with the group.

Day 2 – 4
Monday, February 10 – Wednesday, February 12
Chase powder in Furano.

Day 5
Thursday, February 13
Tour Sapporo. Visit the Hill of Buddha Shrine. Visit the Festival of Lights. Ride a half day… if your legs can stand it.

Day 6 – 8
Friday, February 14 – Sunday, February 16
Chase powder in Niseko.

Day 9
Monday, February 17
Return to the New Chiltose Airport and fly home.

There will be something for everybody on this trip. We will split the group each morning according to rider preference. You can shred groomers in-bounds or chase powder out-of-bounds and everything in between.

UpperIntermediate to Advanced - All resort riding. No backcountry touring experience is required.

Daily Breakfast - Breakfast Served at Chalet (mix of American and Japanese cuisine).
Daily Dinner - Restaurants have been selected for their authenticity and deliciousness and include cuisine such as Sushi, Yakiniku, Izakaya food, Soba, Tonkatsu, etc

This trip is intended to build lasting friendships with those attending. We choose to book chalets rather than hotels to have opportunities in the mornings and evenings to chat, explore, and learn from each other.

Explore Tokyo
If you want to visit Tokyo you may arrive a few days early or stay a few days late. You are responsible to pay for your hotel and book your own itinerary.

Explore the Backcountry
Let us know if you have ski or splitboard touring experience and would like to spend two additional days on a backcountry tour with a Japanese guide.

Trip Payment Policy
A $1500 deposit is due at the time of booking your trip – paid by credit card at the time of the reservation.
The final balance is due 120 days prior to the trip start date.
If you sign up within 120 days of any trip, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
